Stop Messing About - A Kenneth Williams Extravagan - Posted By 4action (4action) on 12th Jan 09 at 1:48am
THEATRE EVENT IN KINGSTON IN JANUARY
Rose Theater
Classic British Comedy Live on Stage from the team that brought you Round The Horne...Revisited. Stop Messing About - a Kenneth Williams Extravaganza, is an evening packed with outrageously funny sketches which featured Joan Sims and Hugh Paddock. Directed by Michael Kingsbury (Ying Tong, Round The Horne...Revisited), it's a guaranteed laugh a minute evening of nostalgia, when comedy meant being funny, with scarcely a swear word in sight. Brian Cooke and Johnnie Mortimer wrote many television shows, including such well loved and award winning sitcoms as Man About The House, Father, Dear Father, George and Mildred and Robin's Nest. Together they wrote shows and series for such comedy legends as Bernard Cribbins, Frankie Howerd, Ronnie Barker, Marty Feldman and Tommy Cooper.
