chertsey | | Runnymede Council organised a huge clean up the River Bourne surrounding Gogmore Park last Sunday. The river has always been notorious for the being a dumping ground for junk.
Even though the river has regular scheduled clean ups all year long, an extra special occasion was created, especially because the river was in an extremely diabolical condition, to get it cleaned up.
During the clean up items found included: a supermarket trolley, beer cans and a car bumper. Many people would be appalled to hear the condition Chertsey residents have left their river in.
