staines | | Locals of London and Surrey are all aflutter for Surrey based designer-maker Angela Searle. A resident of Surrey since 2009, Angela designs and makes craft-fashion inspired hats and headwear under her label GingerBread (www.GingerBreadHats.co.uk). Now Angela is giving the chance to get up close and personal by opening her Surrey studio to customers on Saturday 26th June to show pieces from the current and previous collections. She will be displaying her exciting range of fascinators, streetwear and couture hats "over a glass of wine".
Speaking in London city centre, Angela recently said "Surrey has such an amazing Craft feel, and individuality seems to be really valued. I try to make sure that I have something for everyone. GingerBread Hats need to be picked up and loved, and the boutique evening is a perfect opportunity to do just that".
Angela's GingerBread hats have recently been displayed in the windows at Fenwick's Department Store on New Bond St, as well as modeled at Ascot. Her new collection, "Post:Modern" is due for release in August through a high profile launch in London city centre.
GingerBread makes eco, craft fashion hats and headwear from its studio based in Ashford, Middlesex (TW15 3EL).
